Laser Hair Removal: My Experience

Coming from an Indian background, specifically a Punjabi background, I’ve been (insert sarcastic tone here) blessed with A LOT of thick black hair. With a luscious mane and thick eyebrows, also comes a substantial moustache and hair that basically covers every inch of my body. When laser was made available commercially, it was the answer to my prayers, however I wanted to hear more reviews before I started.
In 2017, I started my laser journey with my underarms and bikini line and honestly it was the best investment I have ever made. I have had about 7 sessions and today it has been about 6 weeks since my last one and I have not one hair in these areas. On my recent trip to Thailand, I didn’t once have to think before wearing a bikini.
In 2018, I plan to continue with added areas such as upper lip (which is painful to thread), legs and stomach and I am honestly excited by the prospective of never having to shave or think before wearing a skirt.
I got my treatment done from Laser Clinics Australia in Castle Hill and they are fantastic.
Things to consider:
– The latest type of laser is called a YAG laser. This is the least painful type.
– The laser beam is attracted to hair follicles so the darker the hair and lighter the skin, the better it works.
– It does hurt. I forget how painful it is between appointments but you really do need a high pain threshold but it is worth it in the future.
